General Scholarship
Application Deadline: March 20, 2026 11:59 PM
Eligibility Guidelines:
- Applicants must be immediate family members of a current Strata Networks member. "Family members" are sons, daughters, and stepchildren, including those under legal guardianship or an adopted status.
- Applicants must live in the Strata Networks service area.
- Dependents must have a GPA of at least 2.35.
- A person may only receive one scholarship from the company in a year.
- Scholarship recipients should attend the Strata Networks Annual Meeting on June 4, 2026.
This application will require the following to be considered:
- Official high school transcript for GPA, ACT, and Class Rank verification.
- Two letters of recommendation from an educator or advisor, a parent or guardian, or your employer (if applicable).
- List of other scholarships/grants or financial aid received.
- Submit a video essay that answers the following three questions:
- If you had the opportunity to make any changes in our community or nation that would benefit the people, what would it be?
- Tell us about a person or event that has had the biggest impact on your life and why.
- How can technology and telecommunications transform rural communities like ours?
Strata Networks Memorial Scholarship:
Applicants for the Strata Networks General Scholarship will also be considered for the Strata Networks Memorial Scholarship, established to honor past Strata employees and their contributions to our company and community. This non-renewable scholarship awards up to $3,500 per academic year to one student who has demonstrated exceptional academic achievement. The following criteria are required for consideration:
- Pursuing studies in communications, technology, or business-related fields.
- Plans to return to and contribute to the local community.
- Meets the requirements of the Strata Networks Board Scholarship Committee.
